i love new york

but last night it felt like cincinnati. A Good old fashioned house party on Leonard St. Damnit I wish I hadn't broken my fucking camera. This is really f'n up my bling 06 attitude. So last night I went over to Miltons and had some roasted chicken. Nice touch with the grapefruit and half an onion. We brainstormed more ideas about our dating book. Obviously I've got a real good grip on things. He on the other hand.....dooahhhh...just kidding. So it was a grandiose party in the rain. I drove from Humboldt st. to Leonard and Calyer, Hey why not. So Frankie, my dear pal posted a myspace about this party. Bla bla bla. They are apparently tearing the house down. So dude is gonna be like on the lowdown for the next two weeks. Its basically spring break until the landlord comes back. After a can of Sparks, a bud light and some pretty hilarious encounters with young froshmen we witnessed not one but two people bloody their fists as they attempted to break the glass fron the foyer door. Flashbacks of November 05 flashed thru my head. Literally as I kept looking up to make sure nothing was going to fall. One of the walls actually gone torn down apparently that night. There were two djs both on Laptops! The basement was flooded. The gas had been shut off. And there was a great sign as you walked in the door that said something like. Dear tennants, you should probably think about paying rent sometime soon. Ahhh...being 28 is so grand. How you forgot what being like 20 is like so fast. M. Carter and I both made our way to the front of the house both in yellow rain jackets and then greeting all the partygoeers and demanding a $7 cover. Hey, it was raining last night. I guess we could have just bought a bag of weed and contemplated life, but it was like watching cops meets jackass meets Er? Lota blood was shed. A Lot of beers were drunk. And we exited shortly there after. And I think it would be a great idea to start a band just for the week and play next weekends party. Any takers?

Today sunday, I rose with more rain pittering at the window. But alas I did the Manahattan Ave. crawl to get some corn tortillas and then slowly got sucked into the thing. I did some major digging today. Saw Kerry! Fuck yeah U.S. bombs and found some sweet relics from my not so distant past.

picked up the i love new york 12" tom moulton. Still looking for you're a native new yorker. Got the close the edge by yes. Leslie west, mountain with N.D. Smart drumming on there, our good buddy from dayton. the sisterhood featuring alan vega. the who by numbers with a very intriguing illustration done by previous owner, george harrison 33/3, sade promise, (finally!), Brute Force, confections of love. How the fuck did I find this and its sealed as well. I saw him play at Eat Records like 2 years ago. He co wrote the song. In the jungle the lion sleeps tonight.
