DJ Tedward Beauty Bar LA Jan. 22nd
All I need is a miracle....All I need is you! Tonight Jan. 22nd. Beauty Bar, LA, CA!
Even the Blogs are better, now that we're here together. Had a wonderful weekend in Los Angles. Spent Friday night over in Los Feliz visiting Robin and K_dub at Roost.
What a roost of a time! Hunted for beer after hours and downloaded some itunes for Robin shortly thereafter. I thought it was time she could use a little DMZ, Nilsson, and that Grateful Dead album, Shakedown Street. Sorry I know there's only like two good songs on there.
Saturday went over to JD Ryznar's. Damn son that kid has a hell of a pad. I'll post the pics later. But seriously it looks like a cabin out of House and Garden circa 1973. Made the first Martini in their house and chowed on the fondue. Leah was a very gracious host and it was good to see Hunter and the whole gang from Yacht Rock there.
DJaying at Cinespace was pretty radical. I went on sharply at ten pm and tried to whip thru as many records as possible in the first 25 minutes. My mixing was pretty atrocious but it didn't matter. Good ole New York DJ mixing never really matters. But when it comes to Steve Aoki and those Serado thinngys you gotta be kiddin me. It was pretty awesome. People showed at up like 10:15 and were dancing already. By 10:30 it was pretty packed and by 10:45 it was totally slamming. I threw on Ray Parker Jr and begin to dance wildly as I left the DJ booth only to be grabbed my mobs of LA's finest. Danced with Meghan who just moved here from NY and Ian, Mr Magic himself. I turned him onto the world of Michael Franks, "read my lips, it must be obvious I love you." Well not quite. But we're gettin there!
